Training:

The Smith Family

We work closely with Bruce, Dawn and Denim Smith of Lone Cedar Stables in Hannibal for our training needs. At Lone Cedar the young horses get a balanced education in manners, riding basics, and an introduction to cattle. Special attention is paid to feet and legs, so that young horses will have a long sound lifetime ahead of them. Lone Cedar is known for high quality roping horses and barrel horses, particularly for youth competitors. After 30-60 days, our young horses come back home to Bee Creek and are ridden out on the farm, on trails and in the arena. They are also hauled to events and shows, even if they don't participate, so that they learn how to behave. As the horses mature, they return to Lone Cedar for tune-ups and roping training, making them versatile athletes and well suited to all types of ranch and cattle work. See more on their website at Lone Cedar Stables.

BCC Rosa Bee Docs BCC Rosa Bee Docs

BCC Rosa Bee Docs (Rosa). Here is a cute mare that has been a part of our family since she was foaled in 2002. She is a dark bay with 2 hind socks and a star on her forehead, very sharp in the show ring. She is 14.2 hands tall and has a long flowing mane and tail. She has been shown in 4-H, ridden by disabled children, and ranch sorted on at the local level. Very smooth to ride. She has been kept slow and easy, mostly walk-trot. However, she is very athletic and would be easy to tune-up for competitive cattle events. $3000.
