About Our Horses For Sale:

All horses sold are sound for riding, unless noted. Negative coggins papers will be provided for all horses, at our expense. All horses will be routinely vaccinated and wormed, according to the recommendations of our veterinarian. Health papers for interstate shipping will be provided, upon request. All horses are certified N/N for HYPP unless stated otherwise.

Training:

The Smith Family

We work closely with Bruce, Dawn and Denim Smith of Lone Cedar Stables in Hannibal for our training needs. At Lone Cedar the young horses get a balanced education in manners, riding basics, and an introduction to cattle. Special attention is paid to feet and legs, so that young horses will have a long sound lifetime ahead of them. Lone Cedar is known for high quality roping horses and barrel horses, particularly for youth competitors. After 30-60 days, our young horses come back home to Bee Creek and are ridden out on the farm, on trails and in the arena. They are also hauled to events and shows, even if they don't participate, so that they learn how to behave. As the horses mature, they return to Lone Cedar for tune-ups and roping training, making them versatile athletes and well suited to all types of ranch and cattle work.


Roxanne (AQHA #pending) - is a May 2018 red dun filly. She is a dark red dun, with chestnut accents, a narrow blaze, and 2 hind socks. She should be about 15 hands tall when grown, she is doing well with basic ground work. Her dam is smart, athletic, and friendly. Roxanne should be versatile and athletic, yet quiet enough to be a family horse. Ranching Heritage eligible. $2000.

"Zeke" (AQHA pending) is a June 2018 red dun stud colt. He has a star on his forehead and bright red dun markings. He is friendly and doing well with basic ground work. He should mature around 15 hands and be an athletic horse that is gentle enough for a family horse. We like the last line of his papers: Bob Acre Doc & Willys Tivio Babe were cutting champs with over $400,000 won from NCHA; Hes a Rascal Jac and Dun Joken Around were both reiners; Zan Parr Bar crossed on Two Eyed Jack daughters were a golden cross for roping; Dudes Booger was a son of Blondys Dude, a good-looking movie star and solid maternal sire. "Evita" (AQHA pending) is an April 2018 dun filly with black points. She has a dorsal stripe and a star on her forehead. She should be around 15 hands when grown. Her dam is a well-built foundation quarter horse mare, with a quiet attitude. Evita should be athletic enough for most ranch activities and gentle enough to be a family horse. SOLD!

"Homer" (AQHA pending) is a March 2018 red dun colt. Homer's deep red mane, tail, and dorsal stripe really set off his white accents (on all four feet, plus he has a narrow blaze). He should be a little under 15 hands when grown. His dam is a quick mare, with a lot of money earning cutters on her papers. Homer should be catty and quick, with fast feet and a willing attitude. $2000.

He should mature around 15 hands and be an athletic horse that is gentle enough for a family horse. His dam is a daughter of Pick Play, who was a good roping son of Freckles Playboy. Jean's dam (Jackie Jeans Babe) was a top notch roping mare that went to the National Finals Rodeo a couple of times and won a lot of money. $2000.
